Durbin Crossing is a master-planned residential golf course community located in Northwest St. Johns County, directly south of Jacksonville. The community will encompass 2,085 acres, and will include primarily single-family neighborhoods, golf course neighborhoods, multi-family development and a Village Center with shopping and services. Recently Durbin Crossing went through the Development of Regional Impact planning process.

Current plans call for 1,550 single-family units, and 947 multi-family units, including 470 multi-family clustered in a Village Center.

The Village Center includes 200,000 sq ft of commercial, office and civic uses. Over 210 acres will be allocated to recreational uses, including a golf course, neighborhood amenities, parks and regional facilities. A K through 8th grade school is located in the community.

Plans for Durbin Crossing call for 158 acres of preserved uplands and 835 acres of preserved wetlands, which will be retained in their natural state. Interwoven within these preserves will be sixteen neighborhood pods that will allow easy access to all major reads, while remaining "rural" in nature. Durbin Crossing will provide needed residential opportunities while preserving the country feel that is present in the area today.

As with Aberdeen, Durbin Crossing, is planned to incorporate a Village Center, with institutional and recreational facilities located in the immediate vicinity. Neighborhoods away from the Village Center are served by smaller neighborhood parks and community centers. The commercial development serving the community is all concentrated in the Village Center.The Aberdeen DRI was approved in June 2003.
